Terms of Service
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using The Greenlight Bible (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
The Greenlight Bible is a web-based application that enables screenwriters, showrunners, and production teams to create, manage, and collaborate on professional production bibles for film and television projects.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Billing, Subscriptions & Refunds
Paid plans (Pro and Team) are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select — through our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
- You may cancel at any time from your account billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you retain access to paid features until then.
- All fees are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods, unused time, downgrades, or accounts closed mid-term.
- We may change our pricing with reasonable advance notice. Any change takes effect at your next renewal.
- If a payment fails, we may suspend or restrict access to paid features until the outstanding amount is resolved.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain full ownership of all content you create using the Service, including but not limited to production bibles, character descriptions, story outlines, and uploaded media. The Greenlight Bible claims no intellectual property rights over your creative content.
The Service itself, including its design, code, logos, and branding, is the property of The Greenlight Bible and is protected by copyright and trademark law.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Upload malicious files or code
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
- Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
7. Team Workspaces & Collaboration
Workspace owners and admins can invite members and manage roles. By accepting an invitation, you agree to collaborate within the shared workspace. Content created in a shared workspace is accessible to all workspace members according to their permission level.
8. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability, and we will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of significant planned downtime.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow recovery, after which it will be permanently deleted.
10. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Greenlight Bible shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
11. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Michigan.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
